When I first moved to the area, I was lucky to find Sook's. At first, I went with whichever stylist was available. I get my hair cut twice a month. I soon realized I never had a bad cut. Eventually, I ended up in Ellie's chair, and right away I became one of her regulars. She takes pride in her work and in how I present myself—more than I do. My hair isn’t the easiest to style, but Ellie always gives me a great haircut. Her personality is fun and relaxed. Sook's is worth a visit—Ellie is my favorite, and she might just become yours too. If you're on the fence about trying Sook's, stop by to see Ellie and be welcomed with a warm smile.
2nd haircut at Sook's and my 1st was validated. Yeriel is very skilled and pleasant. It's true for the rest of the staff. I met the owner, Sook, this time. She is very nice and friendly.
Sure, you can find some bougie barbershop near a mall or in the city or search for some hole-in-the-wall joint you convince yourself is old school. But, you won’t find a better barbershop than Sook’s! Lan, Sook, and Yeriel know what’s up and will give you the best fade you’ve ever had. Attention to detail, expert quality cuts, and affordable prices are hallmarks of Sook’s. I’ve been impressed on more than one occasion watching Sook provide instruction to her barbers on challenging cuts, and stand firm against customers who thing they can negotiate prices of cuts or swindle for a free cut for some reason (Hint: she doesn’t take any grief, so check your ideas...read full review
