VCU Health Orthopaedics at River's Bend

The Staff at this location is wonderful. Dr. Sharma is a kind and caring doctor who does wonderful work. Now, the lady Tracy, who sets the pre-surgical appointments, is supposed to contact you; she never calls you to schedule the appointment. When you call her office, you will get an answering machine that says she will return your call in one or two days, but she does not return your call. This is so unprofessional. My mother was supposed to have surgery in August, and here it is, the 24th of September, still waiting for that per-opt appointment. I don't get it, is Tracy not replaceable? I will be getting in touch with the main VCU.

I had to make an appointment with a new orthopedic surgeon because my regular had to leave town. I was nervous, but the moment I met Dr. Srivastava I knew I was in good hands. He was open, honest , upfront and thorough. He explained the risks of knee replacement surgery, refused to treat me with opioids and instead gave me directives of life style changes. One month later, 20lbs lost ( 70 total) and knee surgery is on the shelf for now because I am pain free. I would highly recommend VCU Health to anyone. But most of all, invest in yourself, believe in what you can accomplish. Take back your power. Dr. Srivastava taught me that.

A few years ago I had to visit this location for carpal tunnel. The doctor was very honest and gave me the proper information to help aid with my wrist. Fast forward my husband had a visit today and gave the office a great review. He said the staff was very knowledgeable and the rooms were clean.
