My son had his first year cleaning at Weis Dental in Chesapeake. They are so patient & understanding. They also let you know every step of the way what they’re doing to your child mouth.
A special thank you to Aaliyah, the dental hygienists, who was absolutely amazing. She was so kind, gentle, and reassuring with my son. She explained everything in a way he could understand and made sure he felt comfortable the entire time. Her calm and positive energy truly made a difference. The dentist was thorough and took the time to answer all of our questions without rushing us. The other hygienists was great as well didn't catch their names.
This is so overdue but I NEED to let the autism community of Chesapeake know that this Dental office has gone above and beyond with my boys. I have 2 medically complex boys who both struggle with oral hygiene like I’m sure a lot of our kids on the spectrum do. My older son has been going here for a few years now and when he started out he couldn’t sit on his own to have his teeth looked at and as far as a cleaning forget about it! After so much patience on both ends, he has started sitting in the chair on his own. He sits through his teeth being brushed and is even tolerating getting X-rays done!
