Three weeks ago, our HVAC system started malfunctioning. The temperature in the house hovered around 80°, and the system would freeze up, forcing us to turn on the fan to defrost it. We have a 3 month old baby and having the house so uncomfortable is dangerous. Also as someone who always tends to feel hot, moving from one room to another while sweating was incredibly frustrating. We had two different companies come out to address the HVAC issue. Each company spent about 10-15 minutes here and then left. They both provided different assessments, but ultimately, the HVAC was still not repaired. Our friends from church strongly recommended Shane's services. Cedric spent over two hours here. He discovered that the coils were clogged with dust underneath, so he cleaned everything thoroughly and then performed a tune-up on the entire system. Our hvac now is working better than ever! I can go back to cuddling with my baby again and not sweat 🥰
I’ll make this as short as I can. In 11/09 one of my cats disappeared from our house. On the Ring Camera she just walked into the kitchen and disappeared. We looked everywhere and used the lost cat handbook to find her, nearly positive she snuck out a door behind us. Fast forward to 11/23. We hear a meowing from the kitchen and see our cats face in the register to the vent opening to the duct work. After 2 hrs under the house we get her out and rush her to the emergency vet after 2 weeks of no food or water. She’s still recovering. Now we have no heat. My husband who is a former electrician knows enough about hvac to know to leave it to the professionals. We lost power to the unit and weren’t sure why and we had ripped off a lot of insulation and broke the seal on the main trunk from the outside unit. It’s not freezing, we’re grown and have sweaters but we don’t want to wait to long. We call some companies and many won’t even come out till after the Thanksgiving holiday. On Monday 11/25 at 8:45 I pull into Wawa on Newtown and see the Shane’s Service truck and I pull up and stalk the driver till 2 nice gentlemen come out with their coffee. I ask them about duct work and try and keep my story short and show them pictures of what we had to do. They told me to call Ms Rose asap and she would help us more. Thank you so much John and Anthony for being so understanding and taking the time to listen. I call Ms Rose and she calls me 15min later. We talk and I send her pictures of the main trunk pulled apart. She calls me an hour later and has 2 men on the way. I’m so bad I can’t remember names. They show up 20min later. They found the source of the no power in 5min. We pulled out a non working dehumidifier and when my husband cut the wire it blew an internal fuse. They accessed the issue below and started the work and waited for a truck to come with more insulation needed. 2 1/2 hrs after I meet John and Anthony at Wawa I had 2 truck at my house and they were finished in no time. They hadn’t even given me an estimate and I didn’t care. I called Ms Rose when they were done and she got me an invoice shortly after that. After $1,000 in 2 emergency vet bills over the weekend we expected about the same. Imagine my surprise when the bill was less than $200.00. Shane’s Service, you were definitely the angels for a very stressful weekend we had. Never did i imagine how my missing cat story would turn out with her being trapped and the stress we’re under just getting her back to health. She lost 4 of her 9 normal lbs!! We are whole again. I have your number programmed in my phone and I will refer you to my friends and coworkers!! Side note the company who installed the unit 6-7yrs ago. I’m not on speaking terms with them because of how we were treated after the service. I won’t name them but if someone mentions the company to me, I tell my experience with them! You guys rock!!
