I had a massage therapist, that I loved in Colorado, but since we moved here in 2013, I have not been able to find one. One could say that they are almost as difficult to find, as even average Mexican or BBQ in Virginia. All that changed when Donna's daughter started working with me and told me her mom worked with the VA. Massages covered by the VA...check, high quality massages...check, able to make mom jokes at work...check. I am very happy that I started going to see Donna, and would highly recommend her to anyone. The location is very warm and inviting, Donna is very knowledgeable due to not only her Massage Therapist education, but also her time as an EMT/firefigher.
Just saw Donna for my first massage at Tranquil Assuage. I've been getting massage for over 20 years, for overall general wellness in various areas of the country (having moved quite a bit). As a caregiver to children and a disabled family member, I endure a good amount of physical and emotional stress, and taking care of myself enables me to better care for others. Massage is something I like to incorporate regularly, but I hadn't gone for months due to time constraints, and was happy to find Tranquil Assuage near to where we live and work. I had a wonderful experience at Tranquil Assuage. The therapist was knowledgeable, professional, and detailed about my needs. The massage was perfectly tailored for my individual needs and I felt very relaxed afterward. Highly recommended!
