Used to dealing with the guy that was there for years but he passed away of lung cancer. But the owner is keeping the store going it's the best place in Charlottesville to get your shoes fixed

I have these quite expensive combat boots I bought in Austria that have become my workhorse for almost 10 years now. I never needed any repair until the leather strip that covers the back of the heel started peeling off and also the soles of the heel are starting to wear off. Mr. Ace glued the strips right there in front of me, and like magic, my boots looks new again! While the soles are irreplaceable (I guess I have to go to Vienna again to purchase new ones, if I'm lucky they haven't closed), I may still have 2-3 years of wear with these boots! I was tearing up while walking back to my car because Mr. Ace didn't charge me anything. He said it was an easy fix. All I can say is that he was one of the few kind people I've met in my life. I will definitely bring my most precious shoes here, especially, the ones just waiting to be loved again!

Been bringing my dress shoes here for a while now. Always quick turnaround, great service. Very friendly and excellent prices. Will continue to come here as long as I'm in Cville!
