These people are crooks. I took my wife for a colonoscopy in Chantilly. The colonoscopy was covered by our insurance but we got hit with a $5,600 bill for two out of network anesthesiologists. In talking to the billing department they revealed that Gastroenterology Associates and the anesthesiologist shared the same tax ID number. You call and they say insurance covers you for the procedure and use "out-of-network" anesthesiologists. If you call Dominion Anesthesia their initial phone message includes information about what collection agencies to call.

Horrible establishment. They never pick up their phones. There was a colonoscopy appointment scheduled and they never sent the instructions for prep until the day before. In the instructions they said to not eat certain foods for 3 days but how are you supposed to know that if they never send you the instructions? Will not be coming back here for any issues. Doctors are fine but staff is horrible.

The anesthesiologists (Old Dominion Anesthesia LLC) for the procedures has a strange (and fishy) way of business, in which they would bill you exorbitant fees (more than $7,000 for 2 anesthetists) and send a bill telling you to call your health insurance company to pay it for them. If you don't, they will keep sending the bill, and they even notified us once they will send it to a collection agency if not paid in full. Well, you tell the doctor in advance that service providers, whether it be doctor for the procedure or anesthesiologists, or the medical center where it is performed, should be in-network so the services be fully covered by my health insurance company....read full review
