“I have shared my experience with Dr. Sharara on the Virginia Center for Reproductive Medicine page where he practices, but wanted to write a secondary review singing his praises here as well!I researched extensively before deciding on Dr. Sharara and decided to make the long drive out to him from Richmond because I truly felt he was the best of the best. And he is!From all the way at the beginning at our consultation to my last visit at my 5 week ultrasound, it was so clear that Dr. Sharara values his patients and does absolutely everything in his power to help them get the results they are hoping for! I truly felt he and the team were right there next to me for every step of the road!One of the “complaints” I saw listed was that Dr. Sharara does a lot of testing. Personally, I was comforted by this and wanted to be able to know everything that could have been discovered/rectified so as not to wonder “What if…?” if we were not successful with pregnancy.Thanks to this testing, it was discovered I have a bleeding disorder that can cause issues with implantation and possible second or third trimester miscarriages. I was able to start on medicine that not only helped baby be safe, but helped keep ME safe after delivery, as I risked possible blood clots afterward!I recommend everyone to Dr. Sharara. “My wife went here during her first pregnancy and loved the whole experience, especially Dr. Gopal, who ended up delivering our daughter. For our second pregnancy, we wanted a doctor closer to home in Loudoun County, but after trying another OBGYN practice for the first half of the pregnancy, the experience so paled in comparison that my wife transferred back to Greenbriar. Luckily, they were very accepting and made the transition so smooth. We're happy to be back with Greenbriar, even if it means a longer drive to visits and delivering at Fair Lakes (which admittedly is far enough away that it could mean delivery on the side of Fairfax County Parkway, but it's better than going to a different doctor)!“

She took the time to thoroughly explain the process, utilized numbing techniques for my comfort, and provided excellent care throughout. “Best OBGYN practice I have EVER been to…the entire staff from front desk to medical assistants and NP’s are all amazing. They all make you feel at home, always have a smile on their face and are very professional; BUT what made my experience here exceptional is the team of doctors that I got to work with…HONESTLY the most caring, professional, knowledgeable and down to earth group of doctors I have ever gotten a chance to work with. I had a very difficult delivery and was hospitalized for a while antepartum and it was amazing how Dr. Hashemi, Dr. Meriman, Dr. Shustarovic and Dr. Diamond, all went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and taken care of day in and day out. They kept an eye on not just my physical wellbeing but also on my emotional wellbeing, they rounded on me multiple times a day and took their time to talk with me to make sure all is well (since I was in a very tough place and had to be hospitalized). They are so knowledgeable, professional and kind. I trust them with my life and my baby’s life over and over again. They delivered my little girl safely in an emergency and I am forever grateful to them. The amazing Dr. Shustarovic was on call for my delivery (which. Was on a Sunday) but Dr. Hashemi went out of her way and dropped everything she had to do on a weekend to be able to attend my delivery as well (I’m at a loss of words for how to thank her for that). Dr. Hashemi is so amazing and such an inspiration, she is so smart, funny, kind and professional and care so deeply about her patients. She makes you feel like family and makes the best of every situation.
