“I have been a patient of Dr. Pilevsky for decades, and I can honestly say she is one of those rare physicians who is truly irreplaceable.
Over the years, I have moved locations, but I have never found a reason to change doctors. When I moved from Columbia, Maryland to Virginia, I explored finding a physician closer to my new home in the Ashburn area. I researched doctors, read reviews, and looked for someone who would provide the same level of confidence and comfort I have always had with Dr. Pilevsky. However, I never found anyone who felt like the right fit.
Even when I was working out of state in Augusta, Georgia, I had the same experience. I looked for a physician there as well, but I never found anyone I felt comfortable transitioning to. Instead, I planned trips back to Maryland specifically for my annual appointments with Dr. Pilevsky because continuing my care with her was that important to me.
Now that I live in Ashburn, Virginia, I continue to make the drive to see her for my annual visits. After work and depending on traffic, the drive can take about an hour and 15 minutes, but it is absolutely worth it. It is not about convenience or distance—it is about the trust, quality of care, and relationship I have built with Dr. Pilevsky over the decades.
At one point, there was some uncertainty about whether my insurance provider would continue to be accepted (UnitedHealthcare). Even if my insurance coverage had temporarily not been accepted, I had already decided that I would continue seeing Dr. Pilevsky for my care and pay out of pocket if necessary. That is how much I value the trust and relationship I have built with her. Fortunately, the issue was resolved, and my UnitedHealthcare coverage continues to be accepted.
One moment from my most recent annual visit truly stood out to me. Since moving, my pharmacy had changed, and I could not remember the exact address when updating my information. Even with her busy schedule, Dr. Pilevsky took the time after I left the exam room to bring me into her office and help me locate the correct pharmacy. We spent about five minutes looking up the location together on Google Maps until we found the right information. Five minutes may not seem like a long time, but for a physician with a full schedule, taking that extra time to personally help with such a small detail showed me the level of care and attention she gives to her patients.
What makes Dr. Pilevsky exceptional is not only her medical knowledge, but also the genuine care, follow-through, and attention to detail she provides. She listens, provides thoughtful guidance, and consistently makes me feel supported and confident in my healthcare decisions.
After all these years, I truly cannot imagine having another doctor. I could choose someone closer to home, but I continue to choose Dr. Pilevsky because the level of care, dedication, and trust she provides are invaluable.
