Checked in on time as I had made an online reservation. Was informed immediately that they were behind schedule, ultimately resulting in one hour delay from reservation time before being taken to examination room. Everything was wrapped up 90 minutes later. This included discussion with initial staff, PA, lab work, diagnosis, and medication determination. Every staff member was kind, courteous, and listened then correctly charted what I had to say. During the 90-minute period, twice was offered water and water was delivered promptly. Other than the initial wait room period, every expectation was met. (Wait room was spacious and clean.)

An extremely pleasant experience compared to what it used to be when it was Velocity Urgent care. Although the fact that I had to go to an urgent care wasn't pleasant.
I was being examined within 20 minutes of arriving. Everybody from the person at reception that signed me in to the medical personal I saw were personable, caring and professional. I was listened to, probed and poked as needed and given clear and concise directions on what needed to be done and why.
I hope I never have to go back but if I do I won't hesitate going to Sentara Urgent Care.
April 2026
Extremely frustrated with our experience today. After a night of my toddler being in respiratory distress, we were left waiting in an exam room for over 30 minutes despite the waiting room being nearly empty. To top it off, I felt completely dismissed by the provider when I explained her symptoms. It felt like my input as a parent meant nothing. While we got the medicine she needed, the lack of efficiency and bedside manner was unacceptable. Front desk people are amazing though.
