I can't recommend this place enough. I went as a last minute to get an updated medication since I would've been overdue if I had waited until I could get home. I was SO nervous to see a campus health center but from the front desk to the clinical staff, everyone was so welcoming. Joanna is a precious angel and I will ONLY be seeing her going forward. She sat with me and gave me options for changing my medication and explained every pro and con. When I went for a follow up, I asked a question that she wasn't 100% confident on and she was honest that she would consult with another doctor. Her transparency was EVERYTHING. I have been visiting Schiffert since Fall 2022. Hands down one of the best medical clinc services especially the Women's Clinic offered by a university. Very personal and honest Opinion as I can compare my experience with other University(equally ranked) Med Clinic. Special Mention to Dr. Joanna Watts is a sweet heart. Always listens to me carefully. Understands my situation and I have been getting help with serious conditions of Endometrioma and extreme painful gynac health.
Pros: It is great to have a health center on campus. The staff are great and the medicine is very affordable with huge discounts. They are not a hospital but they can help you with pretty much all your general needs. They can also give you a doctors note for absence verification when you're too sick to make it to class.
Cons: Its the only health center near campus. Students often dont have a means of transportation or are unable to make it to another hospital when Schifferts is closed. Also, I hate how they're going to charge you about 40$ for any consultation during the summer/ winter breaks.
