Thapasya - School of Dance has been promoting Bharatanatyam in the DMV (DC / Maryland / Virginia) for the last 10 years. The dancers are trained in the Pandanallur tradition of Bharatanatyam and are well known for their ability to connect with diverse viewers with their signature group choreography, colorful costumes, and eclectic music. My daughter has been learning Bharatanatyam under the guidance of guru Sudha Krishnamurthy from past 2 years. Sudha is an excellent teacher and has very depth knowledge of dance. If anyone is looking for Bharatanatyam classes, I would highly recommend Thapsya school of dance.
