If you’re looking for a competitive gym, that also takes the time to develop each of its students individually, look no further than sparksmma. I joined because with the intention of bringing the whole family in and I couldn’t think of a better place to be introduced and guided than this incredible community.
After reading these reviews, we took a chance to check out BJJ at Sparks for our child. So glad we did! The owner, Dave, was patient with us as newbies and continues to answer our questions, and we had lots. Rates are fair and reasonable. And, the head BJJ instructor, Coach Samuel, is a 4th degree black belt that is exceptionally gifted at teaching kids. He brings a perfect blend of patience, humor, skill, and discipline. Never would have expected that caliber of teacher for children. After a few weeks, our kid was hooked and already showing signs of improvement in physical stamina, coordination, and confidence and wanted their own BJJ mat! After researching several different martial arts academy in my area I finally landed at Sparks MMA. Wow! what an amazing school, not only has my son's behavior gotten better he is less hyperactive. I travel from fairfax to ashburn 3 times a week. I love sparks so much I even enrolled my artsy girl to the program. She is also doing amazing! My kids have learned discipline and self defense.
