MK is a gem and an excellent PT. Not only is she knowledgeable, she is patient and intentional. MK pays attention to how my body moves each visit and adjusts things so the work actually works. Also, even when I've been late, my sessions have never felt rushed or tossed together.
I’ve seen real progress with her, and she always makes the process feel doable. I have been able to apply things she is teaching me, even on the rough days. I cannot recommend Tesia Sikorsky, PT, DPT highly enough. After major abdominal surgery, she completely transformed my 8-week recovery journey. What set her apart was her thorough educational approach - she explained the reasoning behind each technique, helping me understand what was happening in my body and why each treatment mattered. I was really impressed with the care I received at Inova Ballston for a herniated disc. I saw Brandon Carestia for most of my appointments, and I appreciated how attentive he was- he would update my care for each day depending on any issues I identified for him, and truly helped me get stronger over the course of several months during my treatment. He also set a routine for me to follow at home, made sure I knew how to do every exercise correctly, and updated the routine regularly based on how I was progressing during appointments. He genuinely seemed invested in my health and progress and it made a huge difference in my recovery journey. My only issue with the practice was that it could be difficult to reach the office over the phone and it was challenging to reschedule appointments, although I am sure that is just because everyone involved with the practice is busy.
