I stopped by this salon while passing through Annandale for a day, and I’m so glad I did. I was lucky enough to squeeze in between appointments, and the results were incredible. The stylist has a real eye for design and style—the haircut was top-notch, and the salon’s decor, which I heard they did themselves, made me feel like I was abroad. I learned that the stylist spent a long time working in Japan, and it really shows in their technique and attention to detail. Highly recommended!

I've been getting my haircut with An Lei for over a year and I honestly trust him completely with my hair. I usually bring in reference photos, and he somehow always knows how to adapt the cut so it actually works for my face shape, hair, and overall vibe instead of just copying the picture exactly. Every haircut feels really personalized, and I always leave feeling more like myself but elevated.
He’s also incredibly warm and kind, which makes the whole experience really comfortable. And somehow he’s fast without it ever feeling rushed - shampoo, cut, and styling usually takes around 30–40 minutes total.
I moved here from Chicago, and I’m very careful with who cuts my hair due to a bad hair experience from 2nd grade. I did a lot of research in the DMV area, and I decided to go with An’lei and have gone back ever since! He is so sweet and thorough with your questions and preferences. I showed him several photos of what I wanted and got exactly that! Highly recommend him to anyone who’s new in the area:)
