Dr. Karen Krotine at Clarkson Eyecare in Franconia, VA is a fantastic optometrist. I’ve had a few appointments with her over the last couple of months and she has helped me immensely.

I was previously diagnosed with a chalazion at an ophthalmologist, but I received less than desirable follow up and care, and the problem went unresolved.

Excellent customer service from Yolon and stylish, state of the art eye wear. I purchased a Versace frame with all the bells and whistles applied to the lenses. I actually returned in 2019 to purchase eyeglasses because of the outstanding interaction with Yolon in 2018. He's very patient, imparts information to you that's extremely helpful for you to make decisions. I recommend everyone to visit them and gain their own experience. You won't be disappointed.

Fearing I had damaged a cornea, I started calling optometrists that were listed in-network for my insurance. None were interested in examining my injured eye unless I was buying glasses or contacts. I called this office and they were interested in getting me in as soon as possible - the receptionist reached out to an OD and described my problem. They squeeeezed me in the next day, just before closing. They made an effort because I was afraid I had damaged my sight. Subsequently I had read these AWFUL Yelp reviews, and I was afraid to keep my appointment, but then I saw they were 20 feet from Lowes and I had an important errand there -- might as well pick up paint for the living room while I could still kinda see out of both eyes - LOL. I visited the office's web site and was impressed with the creds the ODs have. UVa grads that followed with Pennsylvania College of Optometry.. how could this go wrong. I was examined by Dr. Ho. She was thorough, sharp, and even quick witted. She could quickly draw conclusions from her vast sphere of knowledge and experience. She knew the day to day vision issues, injuries she has seen, and also the vast range of contact lenses in the market, and the abuse they can tolerate. All that having been said, if you had a bad experience there, I'm sorry and I'm not doubting you. Sometimes it comes down to dumb luck, and who you work with. I'm just saying they wanted to help me, the exam was cheap, and no one else wanted to book an appointment with me, and then I found the perfect OD. I actually called the most prestigious Lasik office near me for an eye exam. They didn't want to see me unless I got Lasik'd... whatever - this office was the only one that actually cared. Everybody else I talked to was only about the Benjamins. Go to this office. I would send Jesus there. Everybody there cares.
