I was in town on vacation and wandered into the store on a whim. I had never shopped at a Bluemercury and I was pleased to see the luxury brands that I like to shop for when traveling overseas. I was greeted by the lovely Keyana, who asked me if I was looking for anything in particular—told her what I needed and she totally nailed the best colors and products for me! I'm a longtime customer of this store only because it's the closest place to my home that sells a brand I would otherwise have to make a trip to purchase. They have some brands not otherwise available as close, and I like the variety. However, The service has always been spotty for me, seemingly mood-based. The friendliest and most helpful people I've met in this store are the brand representatives. Today, I walked in the store. I was not greeted or acknowledged. There were several people working, some with customers. The associates who were not busy couldn't break away from chatting with each other to be bothered. Oh, and after 15 minutes of looking around, none of the associates approached me to inquire as to whether I had questions or needed assistance. After departing the store, I decided to call the store and talk about my experience...and wouldn't you know they couldn't be bothered to answer the phone either. Old Town Bluemercury, that's it for me! My money will be spent where I can get friendly, knowledgeable service.
