I have been a long-time client of Lisa's because as I benefit from one aspect of healing, new opportunities for further health improvements constantly seem to pop up! Lisa has helped me tackle seasonal and food allergies, gastrointestinal issues, stress reduction, pain relief, and even emotional dysregulation. I started acupuncture treatments at Acupuncture in Del Ray about two years ago. I was skeptical about its benefits, but it seemed reasonable to try, as I was suffering persistent inflammation in a twice-operated joint. Within a couple of months of treatment - several weekly treatments followed by once-a-month visits - the inflammation had greatly subsided and my range of motion increased with less pain. I have kept up the treatments, which have helped me with a number of other nagging (though minor) health issues. I started seeing Lisa when my husband and I were having issues conceiving. While my ultimate goal was to get pregnant, Lisa helped me in so many other ways. After consistently seeing her for several months, I noticed better gut health and reduced stress/better stress management. I continued to see her through IVF treatment as well as during pregnancy when I developed severe nausea and vertigo. She’s a truly gifted acupuncturist who I highly recommend.
