I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. My appointment started on time with no wait. Jade did a great job with my hair. She looked at a picture that I had on my phone for an idea of the style I wanted and got to work. She was very thorough and made sure to check all the lengths to make sure it was cut evenly. She did a great job curling my hair as well.
I am new to the area in Virginia my husband and I moved here from New York and I haven't had the opportunity yet to go to a hair salon because I have so much to do so I knew it was time to get a haircut and I looked up a few different places and then I found cutting up hair salon in Abingdon and I made an appointment for a color and cut with Kensey she was absolutely fabulous we talked about the type of color that I wanted I never liked my color anywhere that I used to go and never turned out right ▶️ 0 in any place I've been for gone to in New York and she also cut my hair on my I wanted to try a different style than I've been getting for the last 4 years my hair...read full review
From the moment I walked into Cuttin' Up several years ago, I knew the vibe was very different than other salons I've tried. Angie greets each person with a genuine wide-smile and big "Hello! How can I help you?". Music is playing and the sounds of laughter are mingled with Angie's team listening to each client's needs. I often feel so relaxed and safe, as if I'm in the "Mr. Roger's Neighborhood" equivalent of hair salons. But it's not just the amazing atmosphere, it's the professionalism and respect given to me and others each visit. I come away loving my cut, color and high/low lights every time. Angie and Anna are fantastic, knowledgeable stylists, but I'd feel comfortable with any of the others. We are both fortunate and blessed to have this gem in Abingdon! It IS a "Beautiful Day in Angie's Neighborhood!"
