I have been seeing chiropractors for about a decade now (for a curved spine and my now-better hip issue) and Dr. Allen is one of the best chiropractors I have been to. I had called over a handful of chiropractors in the St. George/Washington area and he had the best per-visit price so I made my initial appointment. I have a hip that I think was dislocated when I slid on some rocks while hiking about a year ago and would have constant pain and numbness in that hip/leg. I had my old out-of-state chiropractor work on it twice a week for over 6 months just to get to a place where I could get my visits down to once a week (and still have pain and numbness between visits). I felt like improvement was sooooo slow, but I know that is sometimes the case with chiropractic so I soldered on. However, now I wonder if all of those visits to my old chiropractor were really needed. After I found that Dr. Allen had the best price out of the people I called, he offered me a same-day appointment (I went the next day though, as I was not on that side of town then). Just that initial appointment gave me major pain relief. In total, I saw him I believe four times and each time there was a HUGE improvement in my hip. After the last time I saw him a couple of weeks ago, he told me to call if I have any pain that lasts longer than 24 hours so I could get back in. In my head I was thinking, "That's it?" I am so used to chiropractors wanting to see me at least once a week, seemingly indefinitely, even if I no longer have pain (to “prevent” pain from coming back). I have honestly always thought that it may be because having a chiropractic clinic is a hard business so they try to have “regular” paying clients, which I sympathize with but it does put a dent in my pocketbook. So I was taken aback by the fact that Dr. Allen does not try to pressure you into coming into a million adjustment appointments when they aren’t really needed. That type of honesty and customer-oriented attitude is hard to find these days. If my hip or back start to give me trouble again I will definitely go back to Dr. Allen. I am so impressed with how quickly he fixed my hip and how customer-oriented he is. I can’t recommend him enough.
