I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, an autoimmune disease over 12 years ago. It seemed as the years went by my symptoms were not improving & my primary care physician would properly increase my dosage as needed. However I came to the conclusion that increasing my dosage was not a good thing & I had to find another alternative. I have an autoimmune disorder (UC) that's really affected my life quite a bit. Every aspect from mental health, to sleep, to physical health obviously had all been overcome with catering to dealing with it. I have gone the hospital route and after 7 years of pills, injections, infusions, biologics, you name it - the disorder had only become marginally better.
