Both Dr. Gowans are great. They take exceptional care with treatment and take care with listening to concerns, while also being open to owner feedback. I’ve got a few animals under their care and I couldn’t be happier.
When I reported that traditional itch care wasn’t working for my dog and I thought it might actually be OCD/anxiety, I was nervous that I’d be dismissed but I was completely validated and she suggested that she’d seen cases similar in the past. I feel comfortable taking my dog here. While the wait was a bit longer than expected, I appreciate that the vet took the time to thoroughly explain everything and provide helpful advice. This attention to detail and care likely contributed to the wait, but it's a trade-off I'm more than willing to make. The vet was incredibly kind to my dog and demonstrated genuine care.

We love countryside! They took excellent care of our sweet lab who recently passed due to fast progressing cancer and one of my other dogs just recently for a hematoma on her ear. These vets know their stuff, yes it is a long wait to be seen that's definately the only downside is I have never waited this long at a vet before (40-60 minutes past appointment time to be brought back) but if you plan your schedule accordingly and know it will be a wait it's not bad, they are great vets with a lot of patients they are trying to see so it's totally understandable and well worth the wait because you don't feel rushed, the vets take their time to listen to you.
