Fairway handled the mortgage on our house when we moved to Utah in 2020. We had put a sizable (to us) down payment on the house & made it very clear to our broker, Dennis Tyler, that when we closed on our former house, the entire amount of that sale was to go towards our new house IN ADDITION TO the aforementioned down payment. Mr. Tyler conveniently "forgot" that fact, in spite of several reminders by me, and we didn't find out until our closing when it was too late to make any changes. So our mortgage was inflated by an additional and unnecessary $40,000.
