“I was lucky enough to happen into the Haven salon because I love Aveda products. I wanted a master stylist and they happened to have one named Bree Brown. When I showed up, she sat down with me on the couch and we went over what I thought I wanted. And she said well… Can I show you a couple of things? Sure, I said. She said she was going to find me “a whisper, a talk and a scream!” So she went through her phone and she explained to me starting with whisper why she thought that would work for me. But then they got better and better. By the time we got to scream - I almost did! She was absolutely right she said it accentuated my eyes and my face shape. I look at what I wanted and what she suggested and ultimately did- and she was so dead on! I love my hair. It’s short I completely changed looks plus I look younger and it’s very sassy.

This time when I called to get Bree for the second time (I didnt mention she is new to town) Word must be getting around because she was mostly booked up. But I’m just leaving after my second cut and I am thrilled. Bree is amazing!!“

I had two bad episodes with a stylist here in town. The last episode ruined my hair. I walked into Essence, and had a short consultation with McKenzie right on the spot. She came up with a plan, and I made an appointment for the next week. McKenzie is a miracle worker! My hair looked amazing and I received tons of compliments. We have a plan of action to get my hair back to its natural state, and McKenzie has hit the mark each visit. I highly recommend McKenzie. Not only is she great with color, and resurrecting fried hair, she is warm, welcoming, and a great communicator.“

I have really thick curly hair and was unhappy with the cut at first but he offered to fix it and help me style it and was very professional. I ended up just needed to give my hair some time to adjust as I was traveling but the cut and color turned out great. I also loved how quiet he was. I’m not big on chit chat and he didn’t make me feel like I needed to make small talk, which was a huge plus for me. I’d definitely come back to get my hair done by Spencer again.“
