My review is as a contractor. They have not paid for a deck on one of the houses they built. I have reached out to the person who contacted us to do the work as well as multiple emails and phone calls to their office. They have completely ghosted me. As far as I know maybe they are out of business but they have completely ignored me. I cannot speak to their quality.

The main contractor Garret Bangerter, who started this company more than 20 years ago, passed away in September of 2021. There has been no company information reflecting this on any social media platforms or websites. There is no longer any "Bangerter" General Contractor affiliated with this company. Many of Garret's long trusted sub contractors also no longer perform work for this company. The business name remains the same as his wife, Sherra, is entitled to keep it, while she continues to practice realty and have other general contractors build the homes. This company is also not affiliated with any of the Bangerter Homes builders in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas. I feel that this information is pertinent for any new home buyer to have, especially if they are basing their decisions on Garret’s or his brothers long standing reputations.

My husband and I recently moved to St George, and prior to moving, we toured several new communities and met with several builders. Based on availability of resale homes, we had decided to build a new home, and chose Bangerter Homes as our builder. Prior to our physical move, we had several conversations with Sherra regarding floor plans and modifications, and were set to meet with them to begin the build process. Due to a last minute re-listing on the model home we had planned to replicate, we were able to purchase the model, so we did not complete the process with Bangerter Homes. However, all the communication we had with them was outstanding! Sherra provided a lot of information about their build process, she was incredibly responsive to every question we had, and was a pleasure to work with. They would definitely be our builder of choice should we decide to build a home in the future!

Bangerter Homes builds a beautiful home with lots of standards that are upgrades with most builders. Very easy to work with and responsive and lots of vendor choices so you can get exactly what you want. Upgrades are billed at cost so it makes it much less expensive to add whatever you want to the home. Garret has many home designs to choose from and always designed very well. Great lot choices as well. Always gorgeous views and areas. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
