I had done a lot of research to procedures, doctors and reviews. I was beginning to follow the trend believing that I needed to go to Dr Chiddy to have good work done, I have nothing against him or his practice but wasn't sure he was the right choice for me or that I was a sheep following the herd. Having done more research and consultations I found Dr Schmelzer. His office feels intimate, comforting, professional and modern. His staff is professional, warm, knowledgeable and greatly attentive. My consultation was wonderful, he was thorough and took the time for me to ask questions and concerns, he was confident, I was given a quote and a procedure information packet that day, each were very clear and comprehensive. Even when I had questions the office was extremely helpful. The day of surgery, I felt extremely taken care of and that all attention was on me. I had spoken to the or nurse, anesthesiologist and Dr Schmelzer himself, all were thorough, comforting and very kind. There was one room I waited and spoke to the staff which connected to a nice roomy bathroom. One ready I was taken to the or with was only steps away and I really appreciated the closeness of the office setting, it created more comfort for me and did not feel at all like a hospital. Dr Schmelzer was so kind and reassuring as was all the other staff in the or, they each explained everything they were doing and took wonderful care of me after the procedure was done. I had my one week post op follow up today to remove the drain when the Dr had discovered that it wasn't properly draining because of a possible minor blood clot, instead of waiting what could have been weeks for it to dissolve, Dr Schmelzer took it upon himself to remove it by doing a small procedure. I am incredibly grateful, he could have postponed it or brushed it off but he and his staff took quick and substantial care of me right that moment. Every person and procedure is obviously different but as for me and my own experience I have nothing but raving things to say about Dr Schmelzer, Selarome and their entire staff!
We love Dr. Schmelzer! His bedside manner makes everyone feel comfortable, he is very professional, and really cares about the patient’s comfort! While working with pediatric patients, he takes into consideration the child’s self-esteem and overall well-being! His work is impeccable, and I highly recommend him!
