Dr Luikenaar took care of me while on bedrest with gestational hypertension in 2016. I had been flown by helicopter to SLC from WY for preeclampsia and truly believe she saved my life and helped bring my daughter into the world. I found out later I had Cushing’s and had to get an adrenalectomy. Since then my health has done a 180 for the better and my daughter is a strong and sassy kid. We’re in NC now so can’t visit but I hope she knows how special she is! Made that whole experience (2.5 months in the hospital by myself) feel doable. Thank you.
They are extremely understaffed at times and it’s very hard to reach them. They are doing the best with what they have available. They always make sure to do everything by the books and are extremely rigid on that. Grateful that there is trans healthcare at least somewhere in Utah so it is what it is. If you want any help, you will have to make an appointment to get any support.
Dr. Luikenaar is incredible to see and very accepting of everyone! They helped me feel listened to and validated in every way with my medical needs! Their phlebotomist was incredible as well! I have a huge discomfort with getting my blood drawn, and she hit the vein first try and was so kind and reassuring the entire time!
