I had a great experience working with Johanna at FLS. When I contacted her, I was looking for help for my puppy to be more comfortable around other dogs. I also wanted her help addressing behaviors such as begging at meals. I was attracted by her experience and focus on positive reinforcement techniques. She taught me great strategies to address these specific issues but which are also generalizable to other situations as well. She also helped me read my puppies cues which has been really helpful when he is playing with other dogs. Because of Covid, we worked remotely and I have to say, it was fantastic. The ability to rewatch our videoed sessions is invaluable. Also, when I made videos for homework, she would go through them in detail with me and I could really see where things were working and where I could improve.👍👍👍
I have a very shy rescue border collie who is terrified of people. Johanna is excellent with dog behavior and is a great teacher. She helped us learn techniques to help calm and redirect him and help him build trust - he is beginning to see people as not so scary. We had a great experience!
