This is not my first experience with Crusader, having purchased softeners for rental properties in Utah over the years from them. I had always been pleased with their prompt and professional services in the past, but I wasn't sure how well they would do on fixing the stinky water for my cabin in Kamas. While researching my options, I reached out to them late one evening and was impressed to get a prompt reply with thoughtful questions about our situation and what we wanted to accomplish. They helped me understand that we needed additional water testing than the county-mandated bacterial tests to ensure that they recommended the right solutions for us. I scheduled a visit at their design center in Orem and brought samples of our water for testing. Their technician did the testing while I waited. Susannah showed me various options for treatment and helped to calculate the operational costs and maintenance services required to keep everything running properly. This process was really helpful because some of these technologies cost more upfront than others but cost a lot less in the longterm, something I didn't realize from prior research and discussions. They handled the stinky water with an oxidizing system followed by Symphony Ultrafiltration and Ultraviolet since I wanted peace of mind that my water would be safe in the event of a power outage. I ended up not buying a water softener for this cabin, opting instead for the Active Armour salt-free system to control hard water scale since we don't do significant laundry there. I requested the installation service for a Saturday, and they graciously accommodated me. Their installation team was punctual and professional (they wore booties to protect our floor). Installation of all of the equipment took about 4 hours and they cleaned up afterwards (this scored points with my girlfriend). After installation they took time to teach me how to maintain the systems and what to look for in the event something went wrong. This has been another first-class experience and excellent results from the Crusader Water team! They are not the cheapest option, but for me, they are definitely the best!
I am so pleased with the service and quality of Crusader Water Systems! I moved around a lot growing up and never had soft water in my home. I've also been quite vocal about not liking the taste of bottled or filtered water, always preferring water from the tap. My husband grew up with both a filtration system and soft water and told me it was something he wanted to invest in. I rolled my eyes thinking it was an unnecessary use of money. Then we moved to our current house..... Our area has VERY hard water. Cleaning took longer, and the water from the tap, even when I used Brita filters, caused pain in my stomach that would take me out for the rest of the day. (My husband was fine, he just didn't like the taste 🤷♀️) We had Crusader Water install both a water softener and the Reverse Osmosis filtration system and I've had to take back everything I said and admit my husband was right! I've saved so much time when cleaning, and I don't notice that slimy feeling I associated with soft water my whole life. Me and my husband have both significantly increased our daily intake of water, making it easier to meet our fitness goals because we LOVE how the filtered water tastes. About a week after the RO filter was installed it broke and I missed it dearly 😭. We contacted Crusader and they sent someone out right away. The problem was quickly fixed, with no additional charge, and has been working great ever since! Just a couple more pros about Crusader specifically - they responded quickly to my quote inquiry, and the sales pitch was very low pressure. The RO system has great water pressure, unlike others I've used, and I especially like that the soft water doesn't feel slimy like other systems I've been introduced to. Very professional service.
