I had a great time at utah riders ed, i took the basic MSF course and i learned alot, i feel way more comfortable on a motorcycle than i ever have before, and alot more confident in my ability to safely ride, I still have alot to learn, but all the basics i learned will help out alot in my riding while im learning and i guarantee this class has saved a life or two. I will be taking the ARC (advanced riders course) aswell as i hone in on my skills. my coaches mindo and briggs were awesome and they helped me learn alot. I appreciate this course being available and i would recommend anyone to take it whether a beginner or an experienced rider its a good time all around.

The Basic Riders’ Course (BRC), was incredible. Whether you’re someone who’s never ridden a bike before or someone with some experience- you will be treated well. This course is an inimitable resource for those looking to get into riding, or someone who needs a refresher or to break bad habits and become safer on the road.
Briggs and Twila especially are worth mentioning. Not only did they teach the class professionally and in a way that was easy to grasp, they each took extra time with those who were struggling and offered their expertise in a way that didn’t make you feel stupid for asking.
This should be the default choice to get your Utah bike license. I already had my license and can ride well enough, but I only went up to 649cc license the first time around.
Stopped riding for a few years, and felt it'd be a good idea to retake Utah rider Ed's basic course after buying my first big twin Harley (millennial mid-life crisis, no more sportbikes) so I could upgrade to the 650cc+ license.
Even if you're already riding, their basic course is a good refresher. If you're trying to upgrade from the 649cc restriction to a full license, I highly recommend just doing the course again vs. going to the DMV.... read full review
