I am a mortician and own two funeral homes in the state of Montana. I have used Russon Mortuary on several occasions in caring for people that have passed away at Salt Lake hospitals. In fact, I will only use Russon Mortuary. This family, and their staff, are professionals all the way through. There has not been a time I have been disappointed with our courteous phone interactions, professional work, and all around thorough and helpful presentation. We've known the Russon family for decades, both as neighbors and as friends and family of those who've passed. They've always been first class! When Dad passed, we knew exactly where to go. As expected, we were treated like family and that really made a tough situation SO MUCH BETTER! They showed great care when they took him from the assisted living facility and we made plans the next day to go as a family to make the funeral arrangements. They were so knowledgeable and accommodating. They did everything for us that they could do---phone calls, emails, texts, whatever it took to get it right. They handled it all gracefully and professionally. They had contacts for everything, including someone to play bagpipes at the interment. Just know that they will handle it all and the few things that they can't do for you, they'll coach you every step of the way. Dad looked AMAZING when they were done and we were so grateful for the care they showed him. Mom just couldn't stop saying how good he looked! There were a lot of little things that made that time special that I'll keep private, but just know that when it's time to use their services, you'll be in the best hands.
