We all need a good dentist and I can recommend a GREAT dentist. Dr. Stephen Oblad. I got to know Dr. Oblad prior to moving to Abundant and I happily followed him over to his new office in Murray. Dr. Oblad is a kind and caring person who is passionate about what he does and may I say a bit of "science nerd" who is up on all the latest sci and tech. For me, X-rays used to be an ordeal and now they are fast, easy, low radiation and the picture pops up on the screen in front of you instantly. But that is not all, next he has the tools to photograph my teeth so I see the cracks, the missing material and the start of decay. "Show me don't tell me." I could see why I needed a crown. This was my first crown and I did not know what to expect as I have "heard stories" of others experience with other dentists. I came in for the crown and we did a quick x-ray. Then he has another cool machine that scans your teeth to create a digital 3-D model that he and his trusted assistant were able to manipulate the image on screen and basically build a new tooth right in front of my eyes. They did NOT have put on a temporary crown and send me home and send impressions to the lap and wait weeks. He was able to send the new tooth to the room next door and in 20 minutes, a block the size of a typical 6-side die was turned in to my back molar. It was quickly and painlessly glued in and I was done. All in one sitting and only one mouth numbing. Since my first crown, Dr. Oblad had crafted 2 more crowns for me and again the process was same-day, painless and professional. We are very lucky to have such a great person who had dedicated his life to our best dental care. Thank you Dr. Oblad!
Excellent experience beginning with ability to get an appointment the next day after phone call. Felt welcome, not rushed AT ALL. Very thorough exam, X-rays and 3D pics of mouth. Everything explained in detail, listened to all my concerns and only did the work I requested. Absolutely no upselling and felt I would be welcomed back anytime. Easy access parking even though they are downtown Sugarhouse. Everyone and I mean everyone introduced themselves to me. Definitely highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Everyone at Abundant was super friendly and down to earth—it honestly felt like I was just hanging out with friends. I had a different dentist in SLC before, but their hours didn’t really work for me. Abundant offered to redo my recent x-rays and exam for free just to make sure everything was up to date, even if insurance didn’t cover it. My dentist, the hygienists, front desk, and office manager were all awesome. Definitely a 5-star experience. (Sugarhouse location)
