“Great people to work with and honest! They could have done work that wasn’t necessary, instead stuck to the facts and realistic solutions.”
“We highly recommend LaFollette Custom Homes and the entire team led by Jason LaFollette. They are a family owned and operated business and one of the most honest and sincere group of Christian individuals you will ever meet! From the initial planning stages through completion—and even years after the build—they consistently went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. The quality of their workmanship is exceptional, and their ability to truly customize a home is remarkable. The entire build process was very professional, but done in a way that made us feel like family.
One of the most valuable tools they offered was their 3D virtual reality design program. We were able to walk through our home by virtual reality long before construction or groundbreaking began, and the resemblance between the virtual model and the finished product was incredible. This gave us the confidence to move forward with one of the largest investments of our lives and allowed us to make necessary adjustments before construction even began, avoiding potential disappointments later from building a plan sight unseen. It truly gave us a sneak peak into the future, which was a huge advantage to us!
We started with floor plans we created ourselves using a home design app, and Jason and his team transformed our ideas into reality. We also provided interior and exterior inspiration photos, and they successfully incorporated the features and design elements we envisioned. Throughout the process, we were involved in every decision. We selected every paint color, flooring option, fixture, faucet, sink, door handle, and finish. We challenged them with several unique features (some they had probably never encountered before...?), including an indoor slide leading from an upstairs children's bedroom to the laundry room, hidden safe rooms, and a custom oversized double-sided fireplace. No matter how ambitious or unconventional our ideas were, Jason and his team never made us feel like we were asking for too much. Instead, they embraced our vision and worked diligently to bring it to life. As construction progressed, we identified opportunities to improve the original design by converting unused spaces into functional living areas. For example, they helped us transform the space beneath the staircase into a toy storage area and create a fun loft area in one of the children's bedrooms. These additions were accommodated without hesitation, even though they were not part of the original plans.
We have heard countless stories from friends and family members who had negative experiences that turned into a living nightmare with dishonest builders, making trust one of the most important factors for us when choosing a contractor. Throughout our project, Jason and his team demonstrated that they were worthy of that trust. While no construction project is entirely free of challenges, they consistently addressed issues promptly and ensured that everything was completed to the highest standard. Their communication, quick responsiveness and commitment to customer service was outstanding, which is very difficult to find these days.
If you are seeking a builder with integrity, one with an exceptional ability to customize your dream home, one that builds with high-end craftsmanship, and with a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction, then we can wholeheartedly recommend LaFollette Custom Homes as being an excellent choice for you! Nearly three years after completing and moving into our home, we remain extremely pleased with our decision. We would not hesitate to use them again for a future custom build and can confidently recommend them to our closest family members and friends.”
