“As a breast cancer survivor, all you want to do is have some sort of normalcy returned. Our brains are programmed to see ourselves a certain way and a mastectomy is an amputation. It's insult to injury if you lose your nipples during this process. After 7 surgeries, 5 months of chemo and 2 months of daily radiation, getting my 3D nipple tattoos was not only something I wanted, but it also symbolized the end of my active journey with cancer.
