“If you are looking for a quick recommendation, I’ll start with a YES, I definitely will recommend Clear Lake Dental Care (I used Dr. Tajdan and had a jillion phone calls with Jolee) to anyone and ESPECIALLY someone who has a major dental phobia or has been shamed or had horrible, painful and embarrassing dental experiences in the past. But if you want details… sit back and relax.I have not seen a dentist in 14-15 years. I have had a fear of dental work since I was a child and watched my parents suffer. When I finally found a dentist I grew to trust and be comfortable with, she quit her practice. Thus a long gap of no dental visits until a crown and molar broke off in November. When I called CLDC the next morning (practically in tears as I explained my problem) I was seen that day! A quick and painless but thorough exam revealed additional work needed besides the broken tooth. It could all be done in one visit and they could schedule me within a week! I was ecstatic and the anxiety was already cut in half by the immediacy of the work to be done. And then the problems started… NOT the fault of CLDC at all, but a medication I was taking caused possible complications. The procedure had to be postponed until I could see my primary care physician and get lab work to evaluate the degree of risk. When that test showed me to be at high-risk, Dr. Tajdan and the AMAZING Jolee referred me to Dr. Anton. THEN Dr. Anton and Dr. Tajdan had to work together to figure out a time when I could begin treatment and extractions at OSA and then be immediately transferred to CLDC for the continuation of the placement of a permanent bridge. Considering that this involved a primary care physician, an independent lab, Oral Surgery Associates (Dr. Anton) and Clear Lake Dental Care and was during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, the final extractions and surgeries and temporary bridge took place yesterday, February 23!! And this morning I am comfortable and relaxed and relieved and maybe a little embarrassed by the tantrums and fusses I may have shown in the last 3 months when I was so angry with the SITUATION (not CLDC or Dr. Tajdan or Jolee) that I took it out on all of those people. If you read this far, then your fear must be as great as mine was and I can reassure you that the hardest part is picking up the phone and making the call. I still have some major work ahead, but I am ready. I don’t think I’ll ever be in that awful frame of mind again.“
