She was clearly doing her absolute best — running the register, answering phones, helping customers, and trying to keep things moving. She was very courteous and polite despite many customers coming in and being downright rude to her. She answered all my questions and provided recommendations (I ended up not purchasing anything at this time due to the higher prices, but I will be back in the future)

For a big corporation, like Target, it is unacceptable to understaff a store to this extent. Customers had to wait longer, and only having one employee puts them in an unfair situation that no one should have to manage alone. It doesn’t just affect customer experience — it also shows a lack of respect for the staff. Management, or the powers that be, whoever, needs to step up and provide adequate staffing. A corporation of this size can and should do better.“
