“If I could give Avery Eye Clinic 10 stars, I would. I had no idea how drastically my quality of life could change almost overnight. I’m 45, and I’ve had extremely poor vision my entire life, -18 myopia with astigmatism. I’ve worn contacts since age 10 and glasses since around age 6. Despite trying every corrective option, my vision could only ever reach 20/40 with even the best lenses. When cataracts started to affect my vision, especially at night, I was scared. Driving was difficult and headlights felt blinding. A friend recommended Avery Eye Clinic, and I decided to move forward with LAL (Lens-Assisted Lens) cataract surgery. From the moment of surgery, I could not believe what I was seeing. Literally minutes after the procedure, I could see the nurse clearly from over 50 feet away — something I had never experienced in my life. Waking up each morning, I had mini panic attacks because I could actually see without contacts. My eyes immediately felt comfortable and free, without the dryness and discomfort I had grown accustomed to over decades of contact lenses. The results have been nothing short of miraculous: • 20/20 vision in one eye, 20/25 in the other — and my prescription hasn’t even been fully dialed in yet. • I can drive, watch movies, and live my daily life without the burden of contacts or glasses. • Everyday tasks feel effortless and joyful — something I never imagined possible. Looking back, I realize that getting cataracts was a blessing in disguise. “So thankful for Dr. Troy Wagner and staff.
I was wanting an eye exam for a new prescription and glasses.

Unaware upon examination we discovered my blood pressure was at stroke level.

My right eye had evidence of having had a small stroke potentially caused by blood pressure issue I was experiencing.

Ultimately, I went directly to an ER and had blood pressure addressed, having to follow up with cardiologist.
