I can’t say much for the other departments, but the OBGYN receptionists are less than friendly or helpful. Unfortunately Dr. Scales has a regular habit of rescheduling appointments and any time the receptionist calls to reschedule, they get an attitude because working out a time to come in doesn’t fit their schedule. Then if you try to leave a message with the nurse, they get upset because they have to relay the message.
Specifically Tirsa Miller & her staff have given me only the best care since I've started going back to Genesis for about a year now. Every single person that took care of me today went above and beyond. I wasn't able to get all of their names but Ashley, one of the nurses, and Faith, who took my blood, were absolutely amazing. They are LGBTQ+ friendly which is 5 star worthy alone, especially for Texarkana. I couldn't speak higher of them.
I was going to gatekeep these folks but everyone deserves to find the right care for them. Definitely give them a try if you're in the market for a 10/10 pcp!
When trying to get an IUD placed thru Mrs.Wyatt's office , the nurse continues to tell me that they are waiting on a preauthorization from my insurance. After I contacted my commercial insurance directly.They said no preauthorization was submitted from their office. The insurance company also told me this process is only needed for people on medicaid. After posting on a local social media site about my experience the manager, Chelsea got involved and was able to explain what was happening and what the miscommunication was.
