Nice new building but about the same service you'd expect from the VA. Lab is in the building, but closed at 1400 on the Friday I was there, which could have been due to Easter holiday.
My 87 year old father had a blood pressure monitor that quit working. There is no telling how old his monitor was! :) We walked in to the annex and although my dad was not an established patient, he is a service-connected Vietnam Veteran and retired from the Army. After only about 15 minutes, he was able to walk out with a brand new blood pressure monitor. The assistant also made an appointment for him to establish care at the clinic. I don't believe there is another health care system that would provide this level of care. Veterans are truly blessed to receive health care as one of their many benefits. This is for VA Central Texas awareness. My son an Army veteran, went to Cedar Park hospital due to abdominal pain on thursday, november 14. I appreciate the hospital medical staff involved in the surgery. He had emergency surgery. Next day he was released without pain medication. He was told the prescription medication was transmitted to Austin VA Clinic. He went to the VA clinic, the prescription was not received at the VA pharmacy. He came back to Cedar Park hospital, he was told the prescription will be send to a local Walgreens pharmacy. He went to Walgreens, he was told they didn't received the prescription.
