About Temple VA Clinic Annex

Temple VA Clinic Annex offers a convenient experience with close parking, fast appointments, and quick lab services. Patients have reported being in and out of the lab in under 10 minutes. However, there have been some reports of appointment reschedulings and long wait times for appointments. Some patients have experienced challenges with medication prescriptions not being properly transferred between the Cedar Park hospital and the VA clinic. This resulted in a veteran requiring emergency surgery not receiving pain medication after discharge.

This is for VA Central Texas awareness. My son an Army veteran, went to Cedar Park hospital due to abdominal pain on thursday, november 14. I appreciate the hospital medical staff involved in the surgery. He had emergency surgery. Next day he was released without pain medication. He was told the prescription medication was transmitted to Austin VA Clinic. He went to the VA clinic, the prescription was not received at the VA pharmacy. He came back to Cedar Park hospital, he was told the prescription will be send to a local Walgreens pharmacy. He went to Walgreens, he was told they didn't received the prescription. To summarize he was discharged from the Cedar Park hospital without pain medication after having emergency surgery. That's the service provided from Cedar Park hospital to a military veteran.
