Our regular vet in Commerce was out of town for a week, and our little kitty quit eating and drinking. We knew she wouldn't last until her doc returned so I called HCVC and they said bring her in as a walk-in. The wait was only about 30 min, and they were even short-staffed that day. Dr. Lindsey wanted to keep her to rehydrate her and get her to eat, which took 2 days. Dr. Lindsey printed out an estimated cost which was comparable to other local clinics. To make a long story short, it was only 4 days after that until kitty stopped eating and drinking again. Dr. Lindsey thought if we cleaned her teeth it would help, and she could examine her mouth while she was anesthetized, so we took her in for that. Dr. Lindsey called me during the procedure and told me Chica's xray showed a large tumor in her mouth and a lot of damage from it. We opted to just put her down rather than wake her up and let her die of starvation if we brought her home. We returned to the clinic to pick up her body. On arrival the staff all expressed their sorrow for our loss, put Chica in a little box for us, and they even made a clay impression keepsake of her paw prints. We just feel everyone went above and beyond to give us comfort on a terrible day.

Took my cat in the other day after a couple hours of throwing up/diarrhea. The assistant went over the cost of each treatment and had us decide which ones we wanted to test. They ran blood work and gave us antibiotics to take home after saying her vitals were normal, except her WBC was low. Not to mention they charged us $364 and later that day she died. Highly do not recommend this place.

If there was a ZERO star I would give it to them. They KILLED MY DOG through negligence. My dog became ill suddenly. We had been using them for several months and had switched from our old vet to them because they advertised that they had emergency care. They are 20 miles from us as opposed to an hour for any other emergency vet so I felt comfortable in changing if there ever came a time to need it. Last night my dog started with labored breathing and acting different so I called the clinic number. Option 2 states if you have an emergency to press 2 and be connected to the answering service which I did. I left all the pertinent information with them and they said they would page the bet on call. When they gave the name of the on call vet, I was pleased to hear that it was the vet that we had been seeing. We waited for a while with no response. We waited and WAITED. After an hour, I told my husband that we should just head to the vet and cut out some waiting time. We loaded our precious pup into the truck where she ended up dying about 10 minutes later. We NEVER heard from the vet at all. I called this morning to see if the vet had been contacted thinking maybe the answering service had not gotten in touch. The vet actually got on the phone and said she was so "ill" when she kept getting called by the answering service that she knew she couldn't have made it. Yet she sounded really good while at work leas than 10 hours later???? I will note that the temps were extremely cold last night. I asked her perhaps she should have at least RETURNED the call so we could have used that time to go to the other emergency vet. She said that maybe next time she would think about doing that. She also stated that it was "optional" if the on call vet comes out or not. But the real kicker was her saying that she probably couldn't have done anything for the dog anyway. Say WHAT???? Why are you even a vet then? Please save yourself and your beloved pets by NOT using this place

We had an emergency and needed to help our beloved Mowgli over the rainbow bridge. I'd never used them before but they were so nice and helpful and they make you feel like they sincerely care. Prices are awesome as well. We will be using them from now on for sure

I have used this vet for the last 30 years. Last week I took one of my 150 lb dogs in and they said he had tumors in his lungs. Charged me 400 and sent us home with NSAIDs today less than a week later dog can't get up and needs to be put down. I asked if they could send someone to the house less than 6 miles away to put him down and was told no they don't have the staff to do that. Just really makes me sad.

I wouldn't take my worst enemies pet to Hopkins county vet clinic. Their 24 hr service is just to lure u in, when u need them their answering service just tells u they're not seeing anyone. So then u get to watch your fur baby slowly die in ur arms. I can't even look at the building without wanting to give them I piece of my mind.

As a new patient and an unplanned visit because of an injured dog, we were very very happy with the "nurse" and the doctor. This will become our permanent veterinarian. Thank you for the kindness you showed our dog.
