“I have never ever been able to just wash my hair and do a quick root dry and go. It's always been fluffy, stringy, and flat. A sit in Jessica's chair fixed that. I wanted a shorter cut that would work with my fine hair. I will say I was a little nervous leaving the salon. The cut was short! I had bangs! And I can NEVER style my hair the same way a professional does. Jessica took time to listen to what my goals were and the things that didn't work for me in the past and this is the easiest time I've ever had styling my hair. Thank you!!“

I got a curly cut with Paxton, and she was so willing to answer my questions & share her knowledge when I asked for education to better take care of my hair between cuts. I am originally from the East coast with quite a different climate, and have been struggling with adapting in SA for two years now. I was so scared to go down the rabbit hole of buying product after product that wouldn't work like I've heard others do, especially since I had gone through a journey like that before settling on what I used back home. “My experience with my box braids was Decent and they greeted everyone that came in. The booking site did book me at 8:30 AM, shop opens at 9 AM. The stylist was apologetic, and we went on to begin to do my hair; it was nothing crazy. I just made a couple of adjustments for my babysitter. It went faster when there was assistance, and it wasn't a big deal that she took a break at 11 AM; she asked if that was okay, and I appreciated that the style that I got was 200 on the site. It said 160; after the deposit, it came out to 110. I think before booking, the price should note that it can change due to the length of course. If you're getting hair to your butt, the price will change. They asked several times. Did I need to take a break due to being pregnant and super friendly and caring? I highly recommend changing the hours on-site. my daughter’s hair lasted over the summer. They do a really good job.“

“My daughter and I are so happy we found this place! She originally wanted to get her hair relaxed, but when we stopped in to ask about services and schedule an appointment, the owner took the time to have a real conversation with us about why she wanted to chemically alter her hair.

My daughter explained that her hair is very thick and her curls feel difficult to manage. I don’t have curly hair myself and have very limited styling skills, so she was tired of always wearing it in a ponytail or getting it braided. She just wanted to know what straight hair felt like.

Instead of simply agreeing to do a relaxer, he carefully explained why he didn’t think that was the best place to start and recommended the keratin system instead. He walked us through the entire process, explained the aftercare in detail, and suggested the right products to use. I’m so grateful for that level of honesty and education—most places would have just taken my money and done whatever we asked without a second thought.

The price was very reasonable considering the time and effort involved. While I was waiting, I also saw another woman getting braids done. The style was absolutely beautiful, and I was floored by how affordable it was—especially since I’ve paid so much more for braids over the years.

This is 100% my daughter’s new salon. As long as we live in the area, we won’t go anywhere else. (Sorry I don’t have better pictures—my daughter hates when I take photos of her!)“
