About UT Health Medical Arts & Research Center
UTH Medical Arts & Research Center- Psychiatry, also known as the MARC, is a new, clean, and beautiful medical facility with several layers of parking, a pharmacy, and a place to grab lunch. Many patients have been impressed with the doctors and support staff, who are knowledgeable and provide amazing care. Patients appreciate the convenience of having multiple specialists in the same medical practice, making it feel like they are receiving the best care available. One standout doctor is Dr. Luke Newton, who is described as an amazing gynecologist with a genuine concern for his patients. He is thorough, listens, and provides professional feedback. The staff, including a kind medical assistant and the lab department, also receive praise. However, it is unclear why the facility is categorized as a psychiatric hospital.
I see Dr Lyons Gyn / Onc and Dr Hosein Plastic Surgery both have operated on me and would recommend them. Very compassionate and skilled providers . The facility itself is nice the elevators are really busy but other than that it’s well above average. Love that it’s somehow connected to University Hospital.
This place is awesome! The staff are all very attentive. A special shout out to Joniara Jones in the General and Plastic Surgery clinic. She was very sweet and attentive. She lights up a room. Thank you for caring.?
I’ve been so impressed with the doctors and support staff, that I’ve selected all my specialists now who practice at the MARC. It’s new, clean, beautiful, light filled, organized, safe, has several layers of parking, and even has a place to grab lunch, plus an HEB pharmacy directly across from the lab. It also has outside parking for larger vehicles and RV’s, if needed. It excels overall. I do not know why the category says the MARC at UHC is a psychiatric hospital. But then maybe I’m crazy???
