Reece Supply Company of San Antonio

I’ve been doing business with this company for over 6 years now, and they are by far the most complete sign supplier in San Antonio. Unlike other companies that just keep a desk in the city and tell you the product is “in stock in Dallas or Houston,” this company is always well-stocked locally. That’s a huge advantage for any sign shop.

The only issue I consistently notice is the will-call service—it’s extremely slow. My employees often spend 45 minutes to an hour just to pick up something as small as a box of screws. These guys don't sell to the public. But if you need sign making materials, they have what you need. But they're not wild about selling to you. These guys put out a fantastic catalog full of great information, that's available by PDF, with clear pricing, product descriptions, and so on. But they want you to buy from someone with an account with them. I asked about some parts I needed, and they said that I should buy it from someone with an account. They gave me some numbers of people to call who could help me out, and order from them. The business numbers they gave me were good contacts, but I gotta go through them. Reece doesn't have any way to help you load stuff in your car, or cut things down to a manageable size to fit in your car. I guess that's where the account holders come in. They were as helpful as they could be with advice, but they lost a star in my review for not being open to the public.
