So thankful for Nydia’s online yoga therapy! It’s convenient and I’m able to do it at work in between tasks. It’s very refreshing for my body and has helped me sleep much better at night even after one session! She’s amazing!

I am so happy to see the great opportunities now being offered by Nydia thru her distance yoga learning. Even after 12 years, I miss attending actual classes with Nydia. She shares her medical knowledge for free for the benefit of those she may never meet in person. Her yoga classes are phenomenal. She continually expands one's personal goals thru her yoga instructions. Thank you, Nydia!

I have known Nydia since 2017, as a student of her Yoga instruction. For those who don’t know, she is also a graduate school trained Physical Therapist with a passion for helping her clients and students learn and maintain good holistic health practices. She teaches and works with all levels of yoga practitioners, from beginners to advanced instructors. Sign up for a class. You will be glad you did. I wish I lived closer to her studio, but she is worth the drive.

I finally found someone who can help me. In addition to being a yogi, Nydia is a doctor of physical therapy and a published scientist in cancer research, who has developed this therapeutic yoga practice over 4 decades.I first met her when I accompanied my husband to his appointment for back pain. Both she and her studio had a warm, welcoming brightness. I watched them lay on the floor and breath for an hour—for a whole $175! I decided it was going to be too slow a pace of progress for way too much cost. Two years later, my husband, who had previously not run in a decade due to his back pain, is now running 7 miles straight several times a week for fun. He credits his weight loss and CPAP, but most of all, he credits that one session with Nydia. Every time I praise his latest athletic feat, he taps his torso and says “the breath.” At first, it was annoying—who the hell doesn’t know how to BREATHE?!During these same two years, I became disabled from desk work and giving birth. Exercising postpartum without a stable core seized up the muscles of my trunk, and I was unable to work, move properly, or even fully inhale. Desperate, I started spending something like $1,200/mo on massage therapy, physical therapy, chiropractors, Airrosti, online diastasis recti specialists, and more. I learned that the muscles of the back, ribs, transverse abdominis, and pelvic floor must all coordinate during each breath, and became overwhelmed trying to relearn how to breath. I constantly yawned and felt I was suffocating for a year before returning to Nydia.I spent an hour laying on the floor breathing with her just like my husband did, and ... it is harder than it looks. Part of the breathing is rewiring your mindset and pattern of muscle firing. So many things clicked for me about how my anxious posture restricts my breath.Among many conditions, she understands diastasis recti, hypermobility, flatfootedness, and the traumas, injuries, and personality types that promote dysfunctional nervous system patterns among muscle groups. She aims to restore your own intrinsic sustainable healing with minimal interventions. She is a unique blend of analytic scientist and intuitive yogi, and I’m so grateful our sessions are only $175 LOL!

An amazing studio and a gifted instructor.Yoga is transformative and this studio supports all aspects of the practice. While some of the classes can be more challenging, I have always been given the freedom and encouragement to tailor the class to my own needs and pace. Any fitness level can attend. I have found Nydia to be always willing to discuss how to improve your practice .As an instructor she is simply fun and engaging in general and gives you the best yoga experience possible. It sets the intention and focus for my day.Highly recommend ?

I love attending Nydia's Gentle Therapeutic Yoga class! It takes place in a warm, highly encouraging, yet non-competitive environment, which is nurtured by Nydia's expert, very generous, non-judgmental teaching.

I had my first session with Nydia yesterday and was amazed at how much she taught me about my breath and body. I felt so good leaving her class and walked away with a lifetime of knowledge for my practice.
