The Monarch dentist was very gentle and explained everything clearly. In addition, the staff were friendly and welcoming, making me feel comfortable and at ease. I had Terri Ashby as my dentist. I could not recommend her less. She was rude and belittling.
She demanded the exact days, times and frequency when I flossed. It felt like her entire life revolved around dentistry and she assumes this is the most important thing for every single person out there too. Not like other people have lives outside of this.
Like a normal person, I gave her approximations which she double backed on and would not accept for no reason that made sense to me.
It felt more like an interrogation than a conversation to better my dental health. It was highly unprofessional and disrespectful.
I also want to note, she said she flosses at stop signs. Who does that?

The rest of the staff was professional, friendly and attentive. It was such a sharp contrast.

This is the worst of the worst case of incompetency I have ever witnessed. They gave me an appointment for a cleaning only instead of my annual checkup & cleaning. I was under the impression that I’m getting my checkup as well. I was already annoyed that they accidentally created 2 accounts under my name which already created numerous time confusions. She argued with me that I wasn’t there in years and I have to clarify THEIR system and their mistake. I asked why they give me a cleaning appointment before my checkup if they are not allowed to proceed to do the cleaning before the checkup is done. I’m a very bust man and they wasted my time off hours for nothing. There was not even a doctor present. A dentist without any doctor… No apology, no explanation, nothing. She’s just sitting there and sending me home. They should be all fired for sloppiness, lack of organization talent, zero motivation and zero respect to their clients.

I scheduled an appointment for them to call me the next day to reschedule, this was 3 weeks ago! I’m 15mins away from my rescheduled appointment just for them to call and tell me the doctor was a no call no show, and to reschedule! I can’t just up and reschedule without checking for PTO!!! Mind you I first went 3years ago to this exact location just to do X-rays and no cleaning bc again the doctor was not available!!!

Love the staff and doctor did a great job on my gums.

I have been going to this location since it open and I can honestly say that I have never experienced a problem with the service provided. The doctors and staff are very caring, friendly and experienced. If you are looking for a great dental office, then look no farther. I highly recommend the location at 430 W. Loop 1604 N, San Antonio.
