About Laurel Ridge Treatment Center
Laurel Ridge Treatment Center is a mental health facility that provides a supportive and attentive environment for patients. The staff, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, are respectful, kind, and dedicated to helping patients recover from various mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. The facility is divided into separate units, each catering to specific groups, including veterans, active duty personnel, and individuals with specific trauma experiences. Patients have praised the cleanliness of the facility and the quality of food, noting that the meals, including the breakfast, lunch, and dinner, are good and satisfying. They also enjoy the variety of group sessions and activities, such as gym time, physical training, and outdoor activities that help support recovery. Individual therapy sessions focus on trauma work and exposure therapy, offering personalized care. The structured schedule helps patients stay focused on their recovery, free from distractions, and fosters a sense of community and support among patients. Many patients have found the staff to be amazing, with some mentioning staff members like Nayeli, Roxy, Bella, Lisa, Germaine, Destiny, Ashley, Toni, Nyla, Bradie, and Danny, who work on the Trinity unit. Patients appreciate the emphasis on self-care, education, and personal growth, which has led to significant improvements in their mental health and well-being after completing the program. Some reviews highlighted the helpfulness of the IOP Virtual program and the encouragement from Dr. Shay, which gave hope for a better future. However, feedback also indicated that a one-week stay for detox without therapy is often not enough, and there is a desire for more therapy before patients are released to prevent them from returning to previous habits. Overall, Laurel Ridge Treatment Center is seen as a place where many find hope, support, and progress in their mental health journey.
Most of the staff are extremely rude, we called at least 4 times a day to get hold of our sister. Once we finally got ahold of her after calling numerous times and the staff saying she just “didn’t want to talk to us” after putting us on hold for only a few seconds. We were told that she hadn’t even known we tried to contact her except one time. They didn’t even let us know if we were calling outside of the scheduled times. Giving two stars for the only two staff members that were polite to us. They were lovely. :)
I was a patient in the mission resiliency part of Laurel Ridge I was discharged against my wishes by Dr u and was not given anything following. I was taking in a taxi to a place that wasn't open the taxi driver tried to call back and find out where to take me and was never given any good direction. All I ask for was to be discharged a week from the day that I asked and I was told that I didn't have an option that it was either today or the next day. Extremely disappointed and Dr I and her lack of concerns
It was very calming and peaceful experience I was very happy with my process with getting away from a toxic environment and relationships that I have with my family members I found out that I was trying to heal in the same environment where my abusers and trigger are. But I also realize that I’ve coped well enough in their presence that I’m able to move gracefully amongst these “things” that keep me repeating the same cycles. I choose my peace about all else.
