Our 18-year-old dalmatian needed her nails trimmed and pain meds refilled. Western Veterinary Hospital fit us on the same day. The staff is friendly, and they obviously love animals. They did a great job on her nails. I know this sounds simple, but her nails grow so fast that a slight trim leaves her with painfully long nails within two weeks. Dr. Hodges examed her without hurting her: it breaks my heart when she's hurt unnecessarily during a physical exam. We waited for 30 minutes after our appointment time; I'm guessing because the Doctor was on a large animal call. We enjoyed a nice walk around the property, making the wait time beneficial. Dr. Hodges has been my vet for many years, first at Los Caballos, and now at Western Vet Hospital. He's a wonderful vet, very patient with both owners' questions, and with the pets themselves. He takes care of my older shepherd and my three cats. His staff is excellent, and is facility clean and well-kept. I not only would highly recommend this facility, but have done so. They saw my sister's dog on an emergency basis, and she was very satisfied. She lives out of town and her regular small vet practice was closed at the time.
