Our pets (and our family) have been cared for by Dr. Pirkey and the staff at Sachse Veterinary Hospital for 20 years! There is not a more qualified or more caring group in The Metroplex! All of our dogs have received outstanding, personalized care and the team there has gone above and beyond to treat our dogs through something as simple as an ear infection or something as complex as heart worms or cancer. The competence and compassion they display are second to none. We wouldn't go anywhere else and we recommend them without reservation!

I have two reviews. First, I took my dog to get her allergy shot. We were in and out of there in no time. Also I just got the shot which is all I needed, other vets make you see the doctor just to charge you more. Second, later that day, I rushed my terrier up there because she choked on a bone and stopped breathing. The vet staff immediately grabbed her, took her to the back and did everything they could to try to save her. Unfortunately, it was too late. However, The sympathy and the kindness that the staff had was above and beyond anything I have ever experienced. Everyone, Dr Pirkey and the staff, are friendly, responsive, and helpful. Our questions and concerns about our puppy are handled respectfully. Our puppy is excited and happy to visit the facility for weigh-ins, checkups, and grooming. We feel confident about her upcoming surgery because she will receive excellent care from Dr Pirkey.Most recent experience:Recently, our 11 month-old bernedoodle was sick with GI issues. I called the Sachse Vet Hospital on a Friday. The staff reacted to the somewhat seriousness of the two-week long issues with a sudden change for the worse.
