“Due to periodic power outages, I decided to buy a portable generator. It didn’t occur to me that I would have extension cords running all over the house. Plus I’d have to unplug things and then plug them back in with the power came back on. To alleviate this I contacted Morgan electric about having a lockout switch installed in my fuse box. The key to a lockout switch is that you have to turn off your incoming power switch to your home. This is so you won’t be running your generator AND have power going to your home from your supplier. It also stops current from leaving your home in case someone is working on a powerline nearby so they won’t get electrocuted. With the switch installed Morgan electric also ran a incoming plug that I will plug my generator into. Then I can turn off all unnecessary power consumers and just turn on the rooms that I want. A good example would be turning on the kitchen for a few hours to keep the food cold in the fridge. The photos show the installation and the usage and the actual. You can see in the picture of my fuse box they added the incoming plug down to the right of the fuse box. You can also see the switch at the top of my fuse box, and you can note that in order to turn it on the main breaker must be shut off, and the safety must be pushed up out of the way to activate the switch. Note, you must have two open fuses for them to move the top two so that the switch can be installed. For my application, this was under $1000. Your price may be different.“

“Brandon and Rhet came to my house to fix a closet light that was not working and to put my microwave on a circuit by itself. Running a space heater and the microwave at the same time would overload the circuit and flip the breaker for my front bedroom. A squirrel had been a resident in my attic sometime back. Brandon and Rhet found an exposed wire where the squirrel had a buffet. My house is older and they had to crawl, mostly, Brandon, had to, through blown insulation in the attic to do the job properly. “My home had been hit by lighting the night before, Fire Department advised me NOT to reset any breakers until I'd had the breakers and box checked by a electrician. When I called at 7:40 in the morning. A friendly polite voice told me that she would get my info to a technician. Less than 20 minutes later, she called be back and told me Joseph would be at my home within an hour, It was less than that.Joseph, checked the box and the breakers and started the reset process one by one. I had power and lights, electrical after a lighting strike was good.Joseph even went into my attic to inspect wiring close the strike area. Not only did he check the wiring he also took pictures of the damage to the roof truss and radiant barrier on the roof decking. ( the only other people that went into my attic was fire department) had he not taken the time to take those pictures I would have never known about the damage to the attic area of the homeI'm so grateful to Joseph and Esther for the friendliness and fast service that morning.
